Investor's come to Branson to spend money, just as our retail shopping enthusiasts, come to shop, go to shows, and hit Silver Dollar city. So what happens if your tribute to Kenny Rogers starts to fail. Well as Kenny would say "know when to hold them, know when to fold them, and know when to run!" Well so many shows run, that it fills the marketing landscape like a landfill. Brochures run about $600.00 a box, and its cash up front to the printeters. Theater rent is a huge cost, unless your just renting a time slot off of someone else who is paying rent. And all the costs that go with it. Also venders that sell tickets, won't necesarily deal with you until you've gotten yourself established. So where does it start, as opposed to where does it end.
1) Internet presence-how does your brand interact on the internet, do you have a facebook page, business page, connecting phone number to book your tickets direct. How will customers interact with you?
2)Your Brand-what's your concept? A tribute to the 70's Buddy Holly, or something very unique? And what have you been doing with your brand?
3)What's your resume? Where have you worked over the years and how does that apply to the Branson market?
4)Credibility-is your show credible? Does it do what it says it will do. Is it shiny to the observer. Magic, comedy, and those kinds of things keep the show shiney. But also require a lot of production.
5)How are people treated at your show? Getting them up onstage is probably not a good idea. I've been to many shows where they make you the entertainment. I'm there to watch not be part of the show.
6)And finally whats the venue? When you align with a venue make sure it works well with your brand. Research the market and see if there is a theater or location that would better suit your brand. And research the other shows at the theater. If there are other shows, see what they are and see if they fit well with who you are. If you have any questions, about your show and how to Brand it, or position it to sell. Contact us on facebook at:Branson Marketing Consultants
