Their was a lot of news in Branson this month. With the coming season upon us, lots of exciting changes are coming our way. From the Ultimate Elvis contest, to a new shopping strip opening up.      The Old thunderbird Theater Is being torn down, and a stip mall is going up. Home to many Branson entertainers, this majestic historic theater, is leaving the fold on Highway 76. Moe Bandy, Clay Cooper,Jim Owen, and Willie P Richardson, among many that played here. Under many names, this incredible theater will be no more. Gallagher also played here and smashed watermelons on people's heads, and called this theater a home for a brief time. More retail maybe what rules the day right now here in Branson, but the theater life will always be what Branson is about.

I must say, in Branson we have some of the Hardest working housekeepers anywhere. They work hard all day, drive from other parts of Missouri,Oklahoma,and Arkansas. And are some of the hardest workers anywhere. Thats why I thought this was an appropriate title for the Housekeepers who do the turn down service for our guests here in Branson. Next time you get a chance, leave a good tip for the Housekeepers, they Deserve it! Turnt down for what-tips that's what.

What's not to like about this Branson icon. Playing for the likes of the Beach Boys,Roy Clark theater, The Grand Palace, this Ace on the guitar has done it all. One of the featured players at the Grand Palace, he has played all over Branson. Songs like the Wichitaw Lineman,Rhinestone Cowboy, and Gentle on my mind. Fill out this songwriters resume. This hotel has seen all the stars. Enjoying spillover from the Grand Palace . From the Oak Ridge boys, to Styx, to Collective soul, they've all stayed in this almost 500 room hotel.       An experience renovation in 2008, this hotel is well kept, and maintained. A must stay on your next stop to Branson. They have king suits, two full size bed suites, and single queen suites. Conveniently located next to Green Mountain drive, this is a must see. Built around 1993 the Grand Palace was owned by Silver Dollar City. Among its 4000 seats, was a grand staircase, huge parking lot, and spacious dressing rooms for stars. Hosting stars such as Louis Mandrell,Glenn Campbell, Lori Morgan, Styx,Collective soul and many more. This was the place to play back in the day. Located right across the street from  Melody Lane Inn  this theater was just a stones throw away from Shopping and dining options.       As of 2014 this theater has had many owners and was partially owned by the FDIC. The Grand Lady has had its share of ups and downs. Purchased by a new company in 2014, we shall see what's on the horizon for the Grand Lady.  See Also  Haygoods New Reality show
