We've always feared the winter. Thats just all there is to it. And I don't know why. When I moved here 20 years ago, the winter just wasn't on the agenda. We developed our business model quickly. Work 8-9 months out of the year, and hoped everything else would take care of itself. One year I had to climb up on my mobil home, just to get the snow cleared from my heater, so I could get the propane going through the tube to light my furnace.      As I was up there, I could see for miles and miles all over Branson, as the snow created nice hard edges and made everything so perty. But I still wanted to work. But Branson didn't see it that way. Over time (For a short time) Branson did got to a 10-11 month economy. Where there were folks coming in for Hot winter fun, and town would stay busy. But there is no feeling like having a Bus tour come in and the roads soon get icey. "My Family and I out in front of Pasgettis" Its not always a sad day in Branson, when a Restaurant dies. It could be that the venue is turning into something else. A fusion if you will, no pun intended.      Pasta house turned into Florentinas. La Chinita Poblano turned into Pasgheties, and the Plantation morphed into CiCi's Pizza. And if anything is creating a more competitive landscape in Branson, it's having better Restaurants. As everyone has to eat, there will always be more and better Food places here. And that's what we surely need. New inventive tasty food, to entice people to enjoy their stay and enjoy the food. The city (SDC) can't be the only reason for people to come here, which was about the only draw before the boom hit.      For the employees, they always find new places to lant.       When a show is on its last legs , there is a lot of hooping and hollering. Grunting and groaning, and falling around on the ground. It gurgles a little and then gives up the Ghost.      If a show dies in Branson it is a sad day. As there are always options for reincarnation in some respect. In the chain of theaters a show can survive at, there is always somewhere for a show to go. I've seen shows at several different theaters all in the same year.      In the old days, the last stop was always the Branson mall. (Which is closed right now, for renovations). At the mall, they could break shows down into 15 minute intervals, and you'd get a chance to get up onstage, usually without your band, and all the gear. It was a sad Day for the internet when google, created the Penguin algorithm to combat black hat SEO. I think in the long run, this will help people view good superior, non spam content. And that's what we need, better content, that makes us think. Instead of feeling sold too, or manipulated or spammed. I checked some of my sites the other day on linkpopulairty.com my longest held domain is  melodylanebranson.com  and it went from several pages of links to no links at all. And my other site,  bransonisfun.com  has more links, and is  a newer site.       I guess when I was writing the content for Bransonisfun.com, I did all the linking right on the articles and married them to the site.
