Another Branson Giant is closing it's doors I just love Branson. And I hate to hear, stories of a business closing down. But the Branson mill, after several years, of struggle will be shutting it's doors. I haven't gotten word yet of exactly, what day it will be closing. But all the vendors have marked down a ton of their inventory, and there will be more to come. The 90 plus vendors, are looking for somewhere to hand their hats. Rattle Snake Eddie has set up shop on the strip. Which could be good for him. Rattle Snake carries an assortment of leather products, hand made. Guitar straps, and tons of other stuff! From what I understand the owners, are going to repurpose the area, to keep the little mall with the paddlewheel thriving. But they haven't announced yet, what it will be . So this isn't a negative towards Branson, this is just  a story of what happened to me one night. In the 90's I was doing spotlight at the Roy Clark Celebrity theater. And I thought all spotlights were alike. A guy a new, a Texas looking guy, with a cowboy hat. Approached me about subbing for him at another theater, while he couldn't make it. He was doing spotlight, somewhere else at the time. So I agreed. I showed up at the theater and got to meet Bobby and he was fantastic. He seemed to work very well backstage, so I was pretty impressed. He was very down to earth as well. When I got up to the spotlight area, I realized I had never run these kinds of spotlights before. What's going on with the Grand Palace in 2022? More of the story here! I drive by this sleeping Giant everyday, and I wonder what is going on. They say they have new investors and that they are moving forward. The grounds look good, and are well kept. And changes do abound, but things just seem slow. Above is an old brochure from the Grand Lady from the old days. Some of the stars listed have long since passed. They have a website listed on their reader board, but it's just an opt in for an email list. And that they are taking inquiries or updates, so we shall see what the future holds for the Grand Palace.

Rock Stars from Missouri that you would of Never knownퟝ💪 With the passing of Chuck Berry, I think it's appropriate to write a story about Rock Stars from Missouri. Here is our list, that is sure to surprise you.  1) Chuck Berry -the master of the Johnny B Goode Style of guitar, he passed just a little while ago, who would of thought that he was from Missouri. He was from St. Louis 2) Michael Mcdonald 3) Sheryl Crow I went to a John Mayer show one time in St. Louis, and Sheryl Crow was given the headlining spot, even though John Mayer was the bigger artist. I guess she was from St. Louis as well.  4) David Cook -the American Idol Winner  He hails from Blue Springs, mo.  5) Ozark Mountain Daredevils I often hear about these guys around here in Branson.
