Yakov Smirnoff's origional name is Yakov Naumovich Pokhis he is a Soviet-born comedian, actor and writer. He immigrated to the United States in 1977, Smirnoff began performing as a stand-up comic and appeared in several movies,and sit-calms. Including Night Coart and Moscow on the Hudson. He is now performing in Branson in October and November and on the road the rest of the year.
