Mayhams is no longer on the Comedy tour bus

I have some unfortunate news to share. I have been removed from the calendar of doing the Redneck Comedy Bus Tour. Someone called in and said that I was not family-friendly. Anyone who has ridden the bus knows that I am.

In the five years I’ve been doing the Redneck Comedy Bus, I’ve only gotten a review like that maybe a handful of times. There may be the occasional innuendo when I’m doing crowd work—talking to folks, asking couples how they met—but when you do crowd work, you’re fishing for the funny. As a comedian, I read the crowd and stay aware if there are kids on the bus, and I tailor things accordingly. Not to mention on their own website they list it as a pg14 tour.

I pride myself on making sure everyone feels included and has a good time. I’ve had countless five-star reviews, and I’m very grateful to all of you who have given them. I truly love making people laugh—it’s a gift God has given me.

In five years of entertaining on the Redneck Comedy Bus and helping build a five-star reputation, the owner has never ridden on my tour or taken the time to get to know me or my heart. I’m hurt by the decision, especially since the same standards haven’t been applied to the many one-star reviews in Nashville and Pigeon Forge.

I’ll hold my head high, knowing I gave everything—on and off the bus—to help make the Redneck Comedy Bus Tour what it is today. And I will always cherish the time I had with all of you who came ready to let loose and laugh.
