Bigfoot sightings in Branson once again. No its not the kind of Big foot that could kick the winter blues. But its still a good one, or great one. Bigfoot is coming. The ride and it will over look the luxurious 76 strip, and the 7 acres of Days Inn property. Giving visitors something to smile about. And plenty of internet video and pictures to boot. All of the approvals have been met, with maybe a few still left on the table over at the city. This project has been in the works for a while, and will make a fine edition to Branson. And bring some much needed excitement to Branson, once again. The Day the Roller Coaster Died Whenever an iconic entity dies in Branson, a part of it dies with the local folk. And it was no different the day the wooden- rustic roller coaster came down at Celebration City.  Hedged on several sides by rope and wire, they pulled and they pulled until the roller coaster fell. The folks who filmed the event waited for nearly a day to get the shot of the coaster coming down. Celebration City which is owned by Silver Dollar city, decided it was time to demo. And demo they did. Some of the wood was donated to the church that resides inside the park of Celebration City . The Church Woodland Hills family church used the wood to make different items. Battle of the Branson Christmas Lights  No not battle of the Planets. Which was a program in the 70's with Kiap,Jason, Mark and Princess. Sorry Tiny I just couldn't give you a mention. Its Battle of the Branson Christmas lights.      There was a change earlier this year. The Christmas lights were moving to another Location and the company that was putting them on in the industrial park, didn't want to hose them anymore. Another company picked up the Gauntlet, and has put on a very nice chow over off of 248.      Well last night my wife and family  were driving around and started seeing the signs. Turn here, keep going strait, take a left. Several signs for a competing show were at the casey's on 248.      Apparently, someone has come in and leased or bought the old show, and we now have two competing Christmas light shows in almost the same location. Down by the Coal plant, and the Railroad tracks near sight and sound boasts ...

       I almost think you could get famous anywhere. And I also know that in the 90's Branson was quite a place. And maybe a place to get famous. Not Beatles famous,but a place where you could get your musical trade out very fast. There were tons of places you could play. Roy's Loft, Guitars and Cadillacs,Pump boys & Dinets theater would let you come and sing. The club over at Lodge of the Ozarks, and many many more. I cleaned out a closet one time, that had tons and tons of demo tapes. Of people just trying to get a shot in a show here. Some good, some not so good. And the great ones had already been taken out. So they must have gone somewhere. You could be an opening act, and sing for a show. That's what Allen Edwards did. You could sing karioke at Wendy's or the Hillbilly Inn. It could be a song, they say your their friend, but their not. But its true, we all have people who bring us down, who navigate the boat of relationships down the wrong road, all the while throwing the rowers into deep water, with sharp teethed fish prowling around. What do you do? What if it is a family member. You can't fire family right. What if it is an employee, that actually does their job and a good one at that.
