  Where to dine in December in Brasnon? Top restaurants       So much to see and do in Branson in December. So many restaurants to try. There is a new chic filet coming in next to Cheddars that looks amazing. Still the food truck at Wal mart and Hebrews coffee is about a half mile away. All the great coffee is still here to keep you warm and muggy.       All the retail is here, from Tanger Mall, Branson Meadows and the Branson landing. I prefer the landing as you get several things all rolled into one. Christmas lights, food, shopping and the water.      My Crazy night through the vortex that is El LAgo Branson, Mo   As you all know, I'm a huge fan of El Lago out at Branson West, Mo. And have ordered there many  times over the years. And really enjoy their fantastic Pollo Chipotle. IT is a fantastic delight of flavors,  sauces and spices. So last Saturday night was no different. My wife ordered the meal and I headed on  over to the Branson West El Lago to pick up my dioicous delight. Well since my wife ordered online, she  ordered at the wrong one. I quickly stepped through the myriad of people at the Branson West location  and asked her to call the other location and see if they could transfer to the Branson West one, as we are  thirty miles away. It was a no go, they said! I nearly dropped my burrito! So I consoled my crying wife,  who apologized to me over the phone with sweet tears in her eyes to the mistake she had made. Why go see the Shrine Mosque in Springfield, Mo?   I've been in awe of the shrine mosque over the years. The way it was built, the look of it outside, and have attended many shows there. It's an amazing place! In 1993 and 1994 I got to go see Pantera who played there, until the shrine mosque ask them not to come back. They rattled that building like no other band before and after. I got to walk around and look at those spacious masonic rooms, while I ignored the first band, Type O Negative who just wasn't working for me. Until Pantera popped on stage. It was worth the wait, one of the craziest shows I'd ever seen. Needles to say, seeing the shrine mosque is first on my list! #branson #bransonmo

  Why Bananas are so important to Branson, Mo? Bananas you may ask, back in the day they were trying to figure out how to launch the showboat Branson Bell on the lake. And maybe at that time they didn't have enough tools or devices, I'm not sure . But the commandeered a ton of Bananas. And used them to launch the Showboat Branson bell onto the lake. It's a crazy story, but I've heard it so many times over the years.   Wayne Newton in Branson, Mo in the 1990's        I always remember Wayne Newton having a theater here. It was purchased after Wayne had it, by  Gene Bicknell, and Johnny Cash was even in there, at one point .  He had a double show with Tony  Orlando and did pretty well for a while.  He hired local musicians  and sang all the hits! Then things got a little bumpy in the road and he was having trouble with his co  headlining act. He and the other entertainer starting recording each other, and things like that.  Eventually the show couldn't go on and they parted ways.   Learning that one thing       I’ve found that the learnings that came by chance could be some of the most valuable. Small things can be game changers. From adjusting the way habitual things are done during the week, can be huge. Small things like getting your day ready before it arrives can be amazing. Mental fatigue can start before your day even begins. Having to make too many decisions can be cumbersome. Einstein even wore the same suits everyday, so as not to waste mental energy on things that didn’t matter. Also a thing I learned from Lee Haney Mr Olympia was what he called putting the mind into the muscle. That mental push to activate muscle using the mind during workouts, and during the recovery phase. The day can be the same way. If your arrive at the problem, long before you actually get there, better decisions can be made. Get into your next day, the previous day and decide your plan of attack! It makes all the difference.  

  The Honeysuckle Inn has closed it's doors and gated up the property.  The 200 room Motel and conference center has been home to many  groups over the years. And boasts two swimming pools and a great  breakfast area, and beyond.
