Well its official. Karen best won the mayoral election yesterday. Fantastic news for Branson. But was there something that tainted local awareness in regards to our current mayor. I think so. The scorecard resulted in a 900-738 vote for Best. Some could gander that last weeks insensitivity by the city and the April fools day joke, were heavy levy on this years election. If you haven't had a chance to read my Richard Branson backlash article, it might be time to do that. Since this prank has affected the turnout of the Branson election.

I'm really a fan of our current mayor and Best as well. So maybe it was time for a change. It will be interesting to see what changes Karen Best will make, and we here at Branson Local wish her, well the best.
